Samsung and LG stop the LCD by 2020, who is LED biggest manufacturer now?
2020-04-10
Two big news comes from the Korea screen supply chain, which declares that the Korea LCD manufacturer comes to an end in 2020. They move to new higher technology such as OLED and QLED in big sizes to win more profit, so now the LCD supply is all dominated by Chinese background factories.
The first news is that Samsung Display will stop producing LCD panels by the end of 2020. The display maker currently runs two LCD production lines in South Korea and two in China, according to Reuters. Samsung Display isn’t the only maker to close the LCD production lines, who would be joined with LG Display by the end of 2020 as well.
Before 2015 the big size LCD market still has good profit when they are occupied by Korea, Japan, and some Taiwan player. When china maker like BOE starts to grow until now, big size LCD panel profit reduced gradually and keep the same level quality. As we all well know that the customers want good quality at a reasonable price, so Chinese maker products become more and more popular.
In the interactive flat panel display market, both in the education and business presentation market, the budget is the first critical factor customers need to consider. An interactive flat panel display was developed in 2010 but not very popular due to the screen price too high. You may know that the screen cost covers almost 80% of the total cost of an interactive display in 2013. Thanks to the new player's lower profit strategy by BOE for example, the LCD screen price reduced since 2015 and becomes more and more competitive in these 2 years. Customers can afford to buy big size interactive flat panel display at size as 65 inches, 75 inches or even bigger.
IN-Display interactive display most popular sizes are 65 inches and 75 inches. All the IN-Display screens are from leading LCD manufacturers like BOE or AUO. Their quality systems have been proven to be solid for many years. Welcome to contact us if any inquiry.
