Global TV OEM shipments in July: Overseas shipments moved forward to drive a 23% increase in scale
2023-08-10
As panel prices rose in July, North American distributors locked in prices during Black Friday in June, and the overseas stocking node was advanced to June to August, and the OEM market also began the peak shipping season ahead of schedule. According to DISCIEN's "Global TV OEM Shipment Monthly Data Report," due to the peak season's dislocation effect, global TOP19 OEM shipments in July increased by 23% year on year and slightly month on month.
MOKA (Maojia): 1.39 million units were shipped in July, a more than 20% increase year on year, and shipments remained first. In addition to strengthening cooperation with key customers in North America, brand-related business has played a role in supporting Maojia's peak season shipments in North America. Furthermore, in the first half of the year, the collaboration between the Indian factory and the top customers yielded gradual results. It is expected to help Maojia extend its lead during the Diwali Festival in India in the second half of the year.
Changhong ODM (Changhong): ranked second with 1.15 million units shipped in July, an increase of nearly 50% year on year. Both domestic and foreign sales orders have increased when compared to the same period last year. The increase in export sales is primarily due to the positive impact of advance stocking during peak seasons in other countries. Simultaneously, efforts are being made to expand the large-size market space, and overall order size is increasing. Despite the fact that the domestic brand market is contracting overall, Changhong continues to increase its allocation of OEM orders.
TPV (TPV): Shipped 990,000 units in July, a more than 50% increase year on year, ranking third. The significant year-on-year increase in shipments can be attributed to the low base of shipments in the same period last year. At the same time, North American channel business customers' peak season stocking demand has increased significantly compared to the same period last year, and Korean customers' outsourcing orders have also increased. However, the decline in brand-related business and domestic OEM shipments posed significant growth challenges in the second half of the year.
Skyworth ODM (Skyworth): Shipped 920,000 units in July, a nearly 40% year-on-year increase, ranking fourth. Skyworth has continued to grow steadily this year. It has successively accepted some of its orders this year, forming a support for shipments to Asia, since it reached a cooperation agreement with a local foundry in India in Q3 last year. Simultaneously, Skyworth has imported customers from Europe and North America, which has compensated for its lack of shipments in the European and American markets and strengthened its shipment momentum during the traditional peak season.

DISCIEN is the source of the data. AMTC (Michichi): 1 million Shipped 890,000 units in July, up more than 30% year on year, placing fifth. Zhaochi's customer base in North America has also grown this year, and stocking up during peak seasons has contributed to an increase in overall shipments. North America, which has been Zhaochi's primary shipping market for many years, has a strong shipment momentum during the peak season of stocking up, and overall orders are relatively sufficient. However, the brand's domestic sales are heavily influenced by market demand, and orders have decreased.
KTC (Kangguan): ranked sixth with 710,000 units shipped in July, an increase of more than 10% year on year. The increase in peak season shipments of newly introduced North American channel business customers last year accounts for the majority of the growth. The customer structure in the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America regions has been continuously enriched through the adjustment of its own customer strategy, the regional structure has become more balanced, and the net profit margin has also maintained a stable increase.
BOE VT (Video): 690,000 units were shipped in July, an increase of more than 10% year on year, placing the company seventh. Shipments in Asia and North America have increased as the intensity of outsourced OEMs from Japanese and Korean customers has increased. Simultaneously, as the stability of shipments from overseas factories in Vietnam and Mexico improves, BOE VT will be able to radiate to Southeast Asia and North America.
HKC (Huike): Shipped 450,000 units in July, a nearly 30% increase year on year, ranking tenth. HKC's cooperation with domestic brand customers is improving as its large-size OEM capabilities continue to improve. At the same time, the Vietnamese factory has begun mass production, and the Zhengzhou factory, which will be completed soon, will also focus on large-scale OEMs, which will provide a significant boost to Huike's future growth.
Among other OEMs, Expressluck shipped 570,000, a nearly 50% increase year on year; Konka (Konka) shipped 450,000; and Innolux and SQY shipped 200,000, a 10% increase year on year.
